Questions & Answers

Q : Does the alabaster base scratch easily, or is it pretty durable for a home with pets?

A : The alabaster base is described as 'weighty' and classically geometric, suggesting a solid construction. While alabaster is a natural stone and can be susceptible to scratching if handled roughly, its density generally offers good durability. For homes with pets, it's recommended to place it where accidental bumps or scratches from claws are less likely.

Q : How do i best clean the alabaster base and the linen shade?

A : To clean the lamp, first disconnect the power source. For both the alabaster base and the linen shade, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe them down. It's important to avoid using chemicals or household cleaners, as these can potentially damage the finish and the fabric.

Q : Will the alabaster material change color or degrade over time?

A : Alabaster is a natural stone and, like many natural materials, can retain its appearance over time with proper care. Avoiding direct sunlight and harsh cleaning chemicals will help maintain its crisp finish and prevent any discoloration or degradation.

Q : Is this lamp suitable for a busy living room or would it be better in a bedroom?

A : The lamp's simple sophistication and organic elegance make it well-suited for various rooms. Given its alabaster composition, placing it in a high-traffic area like a busy living room might require extra care to avoid accidental bumps. It would also be a beautiful addition to a bedroom, study, or entryway.

Q : What kind of light bulb does this lamp take, and is one included?

A : This lamp takes one maximum 100-watt equivalent bulb. An eco-friendly 9-watt LED bulb is conveniently included with your purchase.

Q : What is the length of the power cord?

A : The lamp comes with a 60-inch silk cord. It features a standard USA 2-prong plug for easy use.

Q : How is the on-off switch located?

A : The on-off switch is conveniently located on the socket of the lamp, making it easy to access when the light is in use.
