Questions & Answers

Q : Will the chrome base get scratched if my cat jumps on the lamp?

A : The chrome is hand‑applied and fairly durable, but it can show scratches from a cat’s claws. Keeping the lamp out of direct reach of jumping pets will help maintain its finish.

Q : How do i clean the white drum shade without damaging it?

A : First unplug the lamp, then gently wipe the shade with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid any liquid cleaners or sprays, as they can weaken the cotton material.

Q : Is the included 4w led bulb bright enough for a bedside table?

A : The 4W LED provides soft, ambient light that works well as a nightstand lamp; if you need stronger illumination, you can replace it with any 40‑watt‑equivalent bulb.

Q : Can this lamp be placed on a narrow bedside console without looking crowded?

A : At 20 inches tall and a teardrop shape, it has a slim footprint that fits nicely on most small nightstands while still making a visual statement.

Q : Will the clear glass base get cloudy over time from dust or pet hair?

A : Regular dusting with a dry microfiber cloth will keep the glass clear; the finish is not prone to yellowing, but persistent pet hair can leave fine marks if not removed.

Q : Is the lamp safe to use in a high‑traffic hallway?

A : Because the base is glass, it’s best suited for low‑traffic areas like living rooms or bedrooms; placing it where it could be bumped frequently might increase the risk of breakage.

Q : What happens if i accidentally knock the lamp over—are there any safety features?

A : The lamp is UL listed, meaning the wiring meets safety standards, but it does not have a tip‑over switch. It’s advisable to keep it on stable, level surfaces away from pets or children.

Q : Do i need to use a special cord cover if i have a rug in the room?

A : The 60‑inch cord is standard clear PVC; a simple rug cord protector can be used if you’re concerned about tripping or wear on the rug fibers.

Q : Will the cotton drum shade shed fibers over time?

A : The hardback cotton is woven tightly and shouldn’t shed noticeably, but occasional gentle brushing can remove any loose fibers that may appear.

Q : Can i replace the included led with a dimmable bulb?

A : Yes, you can swap in any dimmable LED that’s rated for up to 40 watts, just make sure your switch and dimmer are compatible with LED technology.
