Questions & Answers

Q : Will this lamp survive a playful cat that loves to scratch?

A : The ceramic body is quite smooth and unlikely to chip from gentle scratching. However, if a cat repeatedly jumps on or claws at the shade, it could potentially dent or dislodge it.

Q : How do i clean the 100% cotton shade without damaging it?

A : Turn off the lamp and let it cool, then gently dust the shade with a dry, soft cloth. If you need deeper cleaning, spot‑wash with a mild soap solution and a damp cloth, then allow it to air dry completely.

Q : Does the shade lose its shape or become fuzzy over time?

A : Cotton can flatten slightly with repeated handling, but the shade is engineered to retain its cylindrical form. It won’t shed fibers, so you won’t notice lint or fuzz.

Q : Is this lamp suitable for a busy kitchen or hallway?

A : While the lamp is stylish, the 60‑inch cord and delicate shade are best suited for low‑traffic areas like bedrooms or living rooms. In high‑traffic spaces the shade could be knocked over more easily.

Q : Will the chrome base feel stable and not slip when i walk barefoot?

A : The chrome base provides a solid foundation, but the lamp is not designed for use directly underfoot. If you need a lamp that stays firmly in place on hardwood or carpet, consider adding a non‑slip mat under the base.

Q : Where is the best place to hang this lamp for maximum ambiance?

A : It looks elegant as a bedside lamp or on a side table in a living room. Pairing two units can create a balanced glow across a seating area or bedroom sideboard.

Q : Can i use a 60w led bulb instead of the 9w led that's included?

A : Yes, the lamp accepts any 12W LED, 100W incandescent, or 23W CFL. A 60W LED would exceed the recommended wattage and could overheat, so it’s not advisable.

Q : Will the silk‑wrapped cord be visible if i keep it hidden behind furniture?

A : The cord is wrapped in silk and is relatively discreet, but if the lamp is placed behind a narrow shelf or curtain, the cord might still show. Position it so the cord is either tucked neatly or angled toward a visible outlet.
