Questions & Answers

Q : What kind of bulb does this oskar desk lamp use, and is one included?

A : Yes, an eco-friendly 4W LED bulb is included with the Oskar desk lamp. It's compatible with any 9W LED or 40W Type 'A' or 13W CFL bulb.

Q : How is the on/off switch controlled on this lamp?

A : The Oskar desk lamp features an on-off in-line switch, allowing you to easily control the light without reaching for a switch on the lamp itself.

Q : Is this lamp suitable for a home office with a cat, or could claws damage the metal shade?

A : The Oskar desk lamp has a solid black metal shade. While generally durable, very persistent scratching from pets could potentially mark the finish over time. For typical pet interactions, it should hold up well.

Q : What are the recommended cleaning instructions for the oskar desk lamp?

A : To clean the lamp, always disconnect the power source first. Wipe the shade and fixture with a soft, dry cloth. It's important to avoid using chemicals or household cleaners, as these can damage the metal finish.

Q : Can this lamp be used in a frequently used study area or a space that gets a lot of activity?

A : The Oskar desk lamp is designed with an understated, modern aesthetic that fits well in various settings, including office spaces and study areas. Its metal construction is generally robust for regular use.

Q : What is the overall height of the oskar desk lamp?

A : The Oskar desk lamp stands at 22.5 inches tall, making it a substantial fixture for your desk or workspace.

Q : Does the metal finish on this lamp tend to show fingerprints or smudges easily?

A : The black iron and brass-gold finish on the Oskar lamp is designed to be refined. While any metal can show smudges with frequent handling, the matte finish often camouflages minor marks better than a highly polished surface.

Q : Is the light from this lamp adjustable or directional?

A : Yes, the Oskar's solid black metal shade is designed to direct light downwards, which is ideal for focused task lighting on your desk or chair.
