Colin Adjustable Iron/Glass Retro Hurricane LED Pendant

Q : Will the brass‑gold metal shade scratch or bend if my cat jumps on the pendant?

A : The metal shade is solid brass‑gold plated and sturdy enough for occasional bumps, but repeated heavy scratching could eventually wear the finish, so it’s best to keep pets away from direct contact.

Q : How do i clean the frosted glass globe without leaving streaks?

A : First turn off the power and let the globe cool, then wipe it with a soft, dry cloth; for tougher fingerprints you can use a lightly dampened microfiber without any harsh chemicals.

Q : Can the pendant be used in a high‑traffic kitchen where the ceiling is 10 ft high?

A : Yes, the adjustable 6‑foot cord works well for ceilings up to 12 ft, and the durable metal and glass construction can handle the typical vibrations and activity of a busy kitchen.

Q : Is the included 9w led bulb safe for homes with allergic pets?

A : The LED bulb is low‑heat and emits no UV or ozone, so it won’t aggravate pet allergies, and its sealed design prevents dust or pet hair from getting inside.

Q : Will the pendant’s finish fade if i install it over a dining table that gets a lot of sunlight?

A : The brass‑gold coating is ETL listed and resistant to normal indoor lighting, but prolonged direct sunlight could cause slight dulling over many years.

Q : What’s the best way to vacuum around the pendant without disturbing the cord?

A : Use a hose attachment and gently vacuum the area beneath the pendant, keeping the cord out of the way; avoid pulling or tugging on the cord while cleaning.

Q : Is this light appropriate for a bedroom where i have a dog that likes to chew on cords?

A : The pendant’s cord is 6 feet long and should be installed out of reach of a chewing dog; having an electrician secure the cord and possibly add a protective conduit can prevent damage.

Q : Will the frosted glass get cloudy over time with kitchen grease buildup?

A : If you regularly wipe the globe with a dry microfiber and avoid harsh chemicals, it should stay clear; occasional light cleaning with a mild soap solution (rinse well) will prevent cloudiness from grease.

Q : How does the pendant feel to the eye in a living‑room setting versus a kitchen?

A : The warm brass‑gold and soft LED light create a cozy glow that works well both over a living‑room sofa and above a kitchen island, adding a subtle focus without being overpowering.

Q : Can i replace the included led bulb with a dimmable one for adjustable lighting?

A : Yes, you can swap the 9W LED for any compatible 9W LED or 40W TYPE “B” bulb, but make sure the replacement is dimmable and that your dimmer switch is compatible with LED fixtures.
