Questions & Answers

Q : Will the lamp’s cotton shade collect a lot of pet hair, and is it easy to clean?

A : The 100% cotton drum shade does absorb pet hair, but it’s easy to manage. Just give it a quick wipe with a dry cloth or a lint‑rolling brush, and use a soft vacuum with a brush attachment if you need a deeper clean. Avoid using any chemicals that might damage the fabric.

Q : Is the gradient glaze on the base prone to scratching from my cat’s claws?

A : The glaze is durable, but repeated contact with sharp claws can leave minor scratches. Position the lamp away from high‑traffic pet areas or use a protective mat underneath if you’re concerned about surface damage.

Q : Can i vacuum the lamp’s shade to keep it free of dust and pet hair?

A : Yes, a gentle vacuum with a brush attachment works well. Make sure the lamp is unplugged before vacuuming, and avoid pressing too hard on the cotton fabric to prevent puckering.

Q : Is this lamp suitable for a kitchen or dining room where kids and pets frequently move around?

A : The lamp’s base is stable, but its 31.5” urn shape is not ideal for areas with a lot of foot traffic. It’s best used in quieter spaces where it won’t be bumped or knocked over.

Q : If i need to move the lamp around often, will stepping on it be comfortable?

A : The lamp’s broad base sits on the floor, so stepping directly on it isn’t recommended. Use it as a decorative piece rather than a functional footrest.

Q : How do i keep the brass pedestal looking shiny without affecting the glaze?

A : Wipe the brass with a soft, dry cloth. If you need a little extra polish, use a brass cleaner sparingly, but avoid scrubbing the glaze or base.

Q : Where would be the best spot to put this lamp in a bedroom versus a living room?

A : In a bedroom, it works well on a bedside table or nightstand, providing subtle ambient lighting. In a living room, place it on a side table or console to add a touch of modern elegance without overwhelming the space.

Q : If i want to use a different led, what wattage should i choose?

A : The lamp is compatible with any 12W LED, a 100W incandescent, or a 23W CFL. To keep the light level similar, use a 12W LED or an equivalent dimmable LED.
