Dixon 33.5" Glass LED Table Lamp

Q : Does the lamp shade hold up if i have cats that like to scratch or climb?

A : The 100% cotton hardback drum shade is sturdy but not fully scratch‑proof. Cats with sharp claws can leave minor marks, especially if they climb on it. Keeping the lamp out of reach or covering it lightly can protect the shade over time.

Q : How do i remove stains from the turquoise glass base without damaging the chrome finish?

A : Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to wipe the base. If a stubborn stain appears, dampen the cloth with water and a drop of mild soap, then dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents that can dull the chrome.

Q : Does the cotton drum shade shed fibers, and how often should i clean it?

A : Initially you may notice a few loose fibers, especially after the first few uses. Light vacuuming or gently brushing the shade with a soft cloth will keep it tidy. A quick wipe-down every couple of weeks is usually sufficient.

Q : Can i place this lamp in a busy dining area where people might bump into it?

A : The lamp’s 12‑inch base is fairly stable, but heavy foot traffic can jostle it. Position it on a carpet or a small padded mat to absorb shocks. If you’re concerned, consider adding a non‑slip rubber pad under the base.

Q : Is the lamp's base stable enough to stay in place if there’s a lot of foot traffic in front of it?

A : The hand‑applied chrome base provides a low center of gravity, so it stands firm on most surfaces. In very high‑traffic areas, a small weighted base or an anti‑tip strap can add extra security.

Q : Would this lamp look good on a bedside table or does it work better in a living room?

A : Its tall, double‑gourd shape is versatile. It adds a touch of style to living rooms or hallways, but it can also serve as a bedside lamp if placed on a small table with enough clearance. Just be mindful of the shade’s height to avoid glare while reading.

Q : If i need to replace the led bulb, does the lamp’s design allow easy access?

A : Yes, the lamp comes with a standard 2‑prong socket, so you can simply remove the socket cover and insert a compatible LED of equal wattage. The 9W LED included is already energy‑efficient, but any LED up to 100 W will work.

Q : Can i machine wash the cotton shade, or should it be hand washed?

A : It’s best to hand wash the cotton shade with mild soap and lukewarm water to preserve its texture and color. Machine washing can cause the weave to fray or the shade to shrink. After washing, let it air dry flat to maintain its shape.
