Doris 41" Linear Metal/Crystal LED Pendant

Q : Will this pendant be safe if i have a cat that likes to scratch at lights?

A : The fixture hangs from the ceiling and its wiring is concealed, so a cat’s claws are unlikely to damage the light itself. However, if your cat tends to climb or swing on the ceiling, it could potentially snag or knock over the fixture. Keep it away from high‑traffic areas where pets roam.

Q : How often do i need to clean the chrome parts and crystal panels?

A : Because the pendant uses a chrome finish, dust will settle on it. You can wipe it with a soft dry cloth once a month. Avoid using harsh cleaners; a quick dry wipe will keep it looking new.

Q : Does the metal finish corrode or tarnish over time?

A : Chrome finishes are designed to resist corrosion. With normal indoor use and occasional cleaning, you shouldn't see any significant tarnish. If discoloration appears, it may be due to abrasive cleaning.

Q : Is this fixture suitable for a kitchen island with a lot of traffic?

A : Yes, the 41‑inch length and adjustable drop make it a good choice for a kitchen island or rectangular dining table. The design is minimalist and the bulbs are positioned so it won't interfere with foot traffic or appliance use.

Q : Can i use this as a bedroom bedside fixture?

A : Because it hangs 28‑58 inches from the ceiling, it can be hung over a bed if your ceiling height allows. However, its 41‑inch span is quite wide, so it works best over larger surfaces rather than as a small bedside lamp.

Q : How do i handle cleaning if my dog’s hair sticks to the fixture?

A : Pet hair can collect on the chrome and crystal. A quick dry cloth or a microfiber duster will remove it. If you have a lot of shedding, you might want to clean it more often to keep the light bright.

Q : Will the led bulbs last a long time and not flicker?

A : The included 4‑W LED bulb is designed for long life and steady brightness. Switching to a higher wattage LED or CFL is possible, but the original bulb should last several thousand hours with normal use.

Q : Do i need to worry about the fixture being too bright for a living room?

A : The LED bulbs are dimmable if your circuit allows, so you can adjust the brightness. If you prefer a softer glow, you could use bulbs with lower wattage or add a diffuser. The fixture itself doesn’t produce glare unless you install higher wattage bulbs.
