Questions & Answers

Q : Is the metal orb on this lamp prone to scratches or fingerprints?

A : The metal orb has a polished nickel finish. While beautiful, polished finishes can show fingerprints and may be susceptible to scratching over time, especially with frequent handling. It's best to clean it with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its luster.

Q : What kind of light bulb does this lamp use, and is one included?

A : This lamp takes one bulb and is compatible with 12W LED, 100W incandescent, or 23W CFL bulbs. An eco-friendly 9W LED bulb is included with your purchase.

Q : How long is the power cord, and is it a standard color?

A : The power cord is 60 inches long and is silk-wrapped. This provides a more elegant appearance and is designed to be attractive if it needs to be displayed.

Q : What are the recommended cleaning instructions for the lamp and shade?

A : To clean, always disconnect the power source first. For both the shade and the fixture, use a soft, dry cloth. It's important to avoid using chemicals or household cleaners, as they can potentially damage the finishes.

Q : Is the crystal base durable enough for a home with pets or young children?

A : The base is made of crystal and while it adds a touch of elegance, it might be susceptible to chipping or breaking if knocked over. For homes with very active pets or young children, careful placement is recommended.

Q : Does the white drum shade require any special cleaning if it gets dusty?

A : For general dust, you can gently wipe the 100% cotton hardback drum shade with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using any liquid cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can stain or damage the fabric.

Q : What type of switch does this lamp have?

A : The lamp features an on-off rotary switch located on the socket, making it easy to turn the light on and off.

Q : Would this lamp be suitable for a busy entryway or living room where it might get bumped?

A : This lamp is designed as an accent piece. While the metal orb and crystal base are attractive, they might not be the most durable for high-traffic areas prone to accidental bumps. It would be best suited for areas where it's less likely to be knocked over, like a bedside table or a quiet corner.
