Raya 19" Farmhouse Coastal Rattan 180" Cord Plug-In or Hardwired LED Pendant

Q : Can this pendant light be used in a nursery, and is the rattan material safe around babies?

A : The Raya pendant light features natural rattan, which is a natural material. While generally safe, we recommend ensuring there are no small, loose pieces of rattan that could be a concern. The light itself provides a warm, comfortable glow suitable for a nursery atmosphere.

Q : How do i clean this rattan pendant without damaging it?

A : To clean the Raya pendant, first, always disconnect the power source. Then, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away dust and debris. It's important to avoid using any chemicals or household cleaners, as these can negatively affect the rattan's finish and integrity.

Q : Will the rattan material shed or become brittle over time, especially with regular use?

A : Natural rattan is a durable material when cared for properly. With consistent dusting using a soft, dry cloth, it should maintain its appearance and integrity for a long time. Avoid exposing it to excessive moisture, which can impact its longevity.

Q : Is the 180-inch cord long enough for high ceilings, and is it adjustable?

A : Yes, the 180-inch cord provides ample length for most ceiling heights, and the pendant is designed to work well with ceilings up to fourteen-feet high. You can adjust the height to best suit your space.

Q : What kind of light bulb is recommended for this pendant?

A : The Raya pendant takes one bulb and is compatible with a TYPE "A" 60W incandescent bulb, a CFL 13W bulb, or an LED 9W bulb. The included LED bulb provides a bright, warm light with a color temperature of 2700K.

Q : Could this pendant light be used in a dining room or kitchen area that gets a lot of use?

A : This pendant is well-suited for various areas, including dining rooms. Its natural rattan construction offers a Bohemian touch. For kitchen areas, it's important to ensure it's not placed directly over cooking surfaces where grease or excessive steam might accumulate, as this could affect the material over time.

Q : Does the rattan hold up well if a pet with claws brushes against it?

A : Rattan is a natural fiber and can be susceptible to scratches or snags from pet claws. While it's relatively sturdy, we recommend placing it in an area where pets are less likely to interact directly with the pendant if your pets are prone to scratching.

Q : Can i install this pendant myself, or do i need an electrician?

A : The Raya pendant offers the flexibility of being either plug-in or hardwired, which can accommodate different installation preferences. If you are comfortable with basic electrical work for a hardwired installation, you may be able to do it yourself. Otherwise, consulting an electrician for hardwiring is always a safe option.
